- Performing & Monitoring the Daily Site activities Related Engineer activities, Related to Walk down and site works.
- Ensures that drawing and specification are correctly prepared and liaises with the designers when necessary to obtain clarification on design issues.
- Looking about fabrication, erection of tank and structure construction as per drawing.
- Supervised bending, welding, cutting, grinding and other miscellaneous works at site.
- Check the designs to ensure that the requirements of all disciplines are satisfied.
- Liaise with other discipline in order to ensure consistency of work.
- Supervision, Quality inspection – Fabrication & erection of pipelines, pumps and their dimensional inspection as per shop drawing.
- Inspect spool dimensional and orientation base on isometric drawing.
- Perform fit up inspection during pre-fabrication of welding and to carry out dimensional check and visual inspection of welding of fabricated spools per relevant isometric drawing.
- Checking fit up and alignment of pipeline handed over for welding, line inspection.
- Prepare test package prior for hydro testing &Witness hydro testing.
- Prepare daily progress reports on total joints, length and spools installed.
- Inspection in dimension wise as per drawing requirements.
- Site surveillance to check the construction work and give some comments if necessary according to standard installation.
- Supervise activities inclusive of fabrication, installation of pipes, hydro testing and commissioning works.
- Coordinate with construction, testing group and QC department in the preparation of test requirements of each test pack.
- Preparation of pressure test (hydro/pneumatic) package for the newly installed pipelines.
- Anticipate problems, offer solution and inform the project / piping head.
- Surveying of installation, erection piping and pipe support works.
- Erection of piping as per drawing and relevant standards.
- Executing the work with safety standards.
- Review of P&ID’s, piping plans and Isometric Drawings
- Carried out Magnetic Particle inspection on nozzle welds, fillet welds and inspection on machine components by using different methods like wet and dry method using Yoke and Prod technique.
- Carried out penetrant inspection on weld joints, equipment, components such as in heat exchanger tubes using visible solvent removable method
- Radiography of tanks, vessels, pressure parts prefabricated weld joints of pipe using gamma ray.
- Surface NDT (MPI & DP) on structural as well as pressure parts on fillet, butt-welds on various materials.
- Visual inspection and interpretation of radiographs as per various national and international standards.
- Good experience in film processing and interpretation of films
- Prepare and submit work completion report to fabrication in charge
- Update as built drawing regarding the actual revision and changes of all fabricated, erected, installation works.
- Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly completed job reports and submitting to pre -commissioning manager.
- Responsible for engineering calculation from relevant drawing for fabrication.
- Arrange all tools and equipment to execute the job.
- Co-ordination with the client inspection agencies at different stages of the construction of the plant.
- Supervision for execution of job and instruct the workers to follow the procedure.
- Daily job inspection and monitoring progress.
- Preparation of daily progress report.
- Preparing the RFI (request for inspection) for prior to testing & inspection.
- Reviewing of hydro test packages / Mechanical completion Package / Inspection Record Books.
